Meeting Recap - November 6th

Todd Goldfinger ran an excellent meeting as our Toastmaster with his theme “voting.”  Barack Obama and John McCain were on the agenda, but are obviously not morning people.

As Jokemaster, Marian Hale provided a number of humorous stories to help us get over our disappointment of the Obama-McCain no-shows.

As Wordmaster, Carrie Karcher  presented “castigate”: to criticize or punish.  A great word for table topics which both Evan Lennon and Trey Bason used.

Peter Graber gave an impressive impromptu speech. Mike Eaves gave a well-delivered speech about public speaking. And congratulations, Brian Simpson, for giving Speech #10 from the basic manual—very entertaining with an inspiring message to take opportunities and seize the day!

Marion Beaumont and Ersell Liles provided helpful and encouraging evaluations while Ward Marslender III (Grammarian) and Trey (General Evaluator) both complimented the group on well-executed speeches/roles and for an overall good meeting.

--Brian Simpson thanked everyone for all their feedback.  Since joining the club, Brian has seen a difference in his work presentations and receives much positive feedback from his audiences.  Brian attributes this to the Toastmasters program.
