Consider Becomming a Mentor!
Capital City Toastmasters can benefit from your expertise!
Have you completed six or more speeches from the basic manual?
If so, you are an ideal candidate and we are in need of your experience.
If you have already been a mentor, now may be the time to share your
knowledge with a new mentee.
A Mentor's Length of Service:
Approximately four months.
As a mentor:
- You help a new member with his/her first three speeches.
- You explain different roles to which he/she is assigned (up until your mentee has completed his/her third speech).
Why Being a Mentor is Important:
- Welcomes our new members
- Helps new members to have a person with whom they can ask questions
- Allows everyone an opportunity to assist other members and the club as a whole
- Reminds us all how valuable the Toastmasters experience is
Not all are new members currently have mentors and more members are joining.
Please let Jean Gambrill, Vice President of Education know if you can help!
